Sometimes things just sort of happen-and suddenly everything can be okay again
And sometimes who you thought that you were and who you really are collide inside a rythmic melody.
Sometimes it all begins to make sense-no matter your season of doubt-dropping that plastic smile and those pointy shoes-feeling an overwhelming sense of freedom in just being you.
No subtexts or worried glances.
Sometimes the stroke of a chord can move a man to love-or to hate-more than a thousand tepid moments.
Sometimes words alone can thaw a frozen, brittle heart.
Sometimes people so very different can together experience true, pure bliss.
Feeling each stroke of the guitar
Each rise in perfect pitch
Drums pounding
Curtains rise
Music can make us feel alive, inspired-able to see all that we have somehow missed.
It allows us to dream and to feel a oneness with a song, a person-the moment.
I want to live
I want to feel
I want to thrive
I want a soundtrack playing as i walk away
And sometimes that song on the radio or that set at the show is all that i have.
and you know what?
I think that sometimes it just may be enough.
